About the Role
On behalf of our client, a leading infrastructure and engineering firm, we are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Project Planner to support a major rail construction project based in Munich.
The successful candidate will play a key role in project scheduling, progress tracking, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the project is delivered on time and within scope.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage detailed construction schedules for a rail infrastructure project
- Use planning software (Primavera P6) to monitor timelines and update project milestones
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align planning activities
- Analyse schedule risks, identify critical paths, and support mitigation strategies
- Provide regular progress reports and planning updates to project management
- Attend planning and coordination meetings on-site or remotely as needed
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in project planning within the rail or infrastructure construction sector
- Proficient in Primavera P6
- Solid understanding of construction workflows, particularly in large-scale civil or rail projects
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Fluent in English; German language skills are a strong advantage
- Must be based in or able to work on-site in Munich
