Mechanical Project Engineer

A client is a fast growing OEM focusing on skid packages for Oil & Gas processing for onshore and offshore projects with end client operators. They currently looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join them in the Rotterdam region, Netherlands.

The client is particularly interested in candidates with experience in the Oil & Gas industry or similar, or similar, with strong experience working with static equipment for skid packages such as valves, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, etc.

The company offers great progression and development opportunity, to climb the company ladder and have various responsibilities in your role.

THE CLIENT WILL CONSIDER PERMANENT CANDIDATES, NOT FREELANCE - English Speaking

START: June, July, August 2025

LOCATION: Rotterdam region, Netherlands

SALARY: €3500 - €5,500 per month + 8% + package

Mechanical Project Engineer

  • Mechanical Engineering background
  • Working history in the Oil & Gas industry or similar highly regulated, with knowledge of relevant standards
  • Any knowledge of instrumentation and electrical engineering beneficial
  • 2D and 3D design engineering experience using Solidworks, Inventor, AutoCAD, etc.
  • Able to communicate with clients and team members clearly
  • Fluent English essential

The client has advised that they would be happy to have candidates based in Netherlands already or would be prepared to move to the Rotterdam region.

Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
