Quality Assurance Manager
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Freelance Quality Manager to join a leading food manufacturing company in Flanders, Belgium. This is a freelance contract for a period of 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Management System (QMS): Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with international standards (ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, BRC, etc.).
- Product Testing & Validation: Supervise the testing of raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished products. Implement robust validation processes for new products to ensure consistency and quality across all stages of production.
- Supplier Management: Conduct audits and assessments of suppliers and third-party manufacturers to ensure the quality and safety of raw materials and packaging. Develop and manage supplier quality performance metrics.
- Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions: Lead investigations into quality issues and non-conformances. Use root cause analysis methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone) to address problems and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Key Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality management role within the food manufacturing industry, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity. Experience working with international quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, BRC, IFS) is essential.
- Certifications: Relevant quality management certifications (e.g., Lead Auditor, Six Sigma, HACCP) are highly desirable.
- Languages: Fluent in English (written and spoken) is required. Proficiency in Dutch or French is a strong plus, given the regional market.
