Automation Project Engineer

A client are currently looking for a Project Automation Engineer to join their Project Engineering team in South Holland, near to Zoetermeer, Netherlands.

The client is an equipment manufacturing company specialising in the Marine/Shipbuilding industry, specifically focusing on monitoring and control systems for vessels. They are steadily growing and expecting an increase in work over the next 12 months, so now need extra engineers to support the team.

They are particularly interested in candidates with experience in the marine or shipbuilding industry, covering PLC programming and development, with knowledge of electrical and instrumentation engineering. You will work on project management, from kick off to delivery, as well as technical engineering, automation/PLC programming and testing.

THE CLIENT WILL CONSIDER PERMANENT CANDIDATES, NOT FREELANCE

START: October, November, December 2025

LOCATION: South Holland, Zoetermeer region, Netherlands

SALARY/PACKAGE: €4,000 - €6,000 per month + 8% + package

Project Engineer - Automation/PLC Engineer

  • Automation Engineer with 5+ years' experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in software engineering or similar
  • PLC programming and development background, Siemens, SCADA, etc.
  • Background in either marine, shipbuilding or machine building industries
  • Any electrical or instrumentation knowledge beneficial
  • Fluent English essential

These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
