Computer Numerical Control Programmer

We're looking for a skilled freelancer based preferably in East Belgium, fluent in French, with a solid background in CNC programming and machining.

You'll be a crucial part of our team, working closely with machining experts to program both current and new parts, ensuring smooth, efficient production processes. This role offers the opportunity to work onsite (limited but potential hybrid) and potentially extend into a permanent position.

Your mission:

  • Lead the transfer and industrialisation of product series on new machines
  • Ensure first production parts meet all specifications in collaboration with your manager and team
  • Develop precise CNC programming logic to meet geometric and operational requirements
  • Optimise cutting tools performance and costs, conduct tests with tool manufacturers
  • Produce, simulate, and document machining programs meeting client and internal requirements
  • Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and train operators on new programs
  • Monitor machining performance and propose continuous improvements
  • Provide technical support during subcontracting of machining operations
  • Participate actively in industrialisation and quality meetings

What you bring:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in machining and CNC programming
  • Strong knowledge of trigonometry and machining production means (lathes, 4/5/6-axis machining centers)
  • Expertise with cutting tools (carbide, sharpening, coatings)
  • Experience with programming and management software (Catia V5 is a plus, Smateam a bonus)
  • Technical English knowledge is an advantage
  • Fluent French essential

These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
