Project Director

Project Director to join our client working on large scale engineering projects (concept through to delivery) which will be in large scale civil infrastructure sector.

The client is specifically looking for project Directors who have experience working on the front-end early stages of a project, this will involve project development from concept, through feasibility, early engineering, basic and detailed design, preparation for execution. Ideally the project Director would continue through the full delivery.

The role will suit Project director with experience covering the delivery for either complex process plants, energy infrastructure or utility networks, the ideal background for the client would be someone coming from an energy sector working history. The average project ranges will be between £20 - £50 million.

Project Director Specification:

START: ASAP

LOCATION: Hybrid - Brussels

WORK PATTERN: 20 hours a week

DURATION: 18+ Months

Essential Skills:

§ Project Director experience with power/energy infrastructure type projects

§ Technical background in mechanical, process engineering, energy infrastructure or utility networks

§ Ability to handle budget, planning and manage risk and cost

§ Extensive experience in early development phases of a project

§ Experience delivering multi-million pound projects

§ Degree qualified (finance, cost control, commercial or risk bias)

The client is primarily focus on the delivery of major infrastructure type projects, covering power utilities and utility networks.

The expectation is that the next year years will be focused towards development projects, following this you will be involved in development projects and taking projects through execution to delivery.

Our Three Pillars of Training

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.

Kane joined g2 in April 2023 as an Academy & Systems Trainer.

His role involves teaching the consultants that are new to the company the foundations of recruitment and our systems before then helping them to upskill in areas specific to each consultant. Working closely with different consultants and watching them implement the feedback, apply it, and then benefit off the back of it.
