Construction Manager

🔧 Position: Site Manager - Data Center Construction (Electrical & Mechanical Coordination)

We are supporting a leading international client in the construction of high-performance data centers across Germany and are seeking an experienced freelance Site Manager (Bauleiter) to join the delivery team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage mechanical (HVAC, plumbing) and electrical subcontractors on-site
  • Ensure work is executed according to quality, safety, and schedule requirements
  • Oversee and maintain project documentation, including daily reports, progress tracking, and system overviews
  • Act as the interface between contractors, engineering, client, and internal teams
  • Support commissioning and handover processes in line with project timelines

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager / Construction Manager on data center, industrial, or technical building projects
  • Strong background in electrical and/or mechanical (MEP) systems coordination
  • Solid understanding of German construction standards and site practices
  • Competence with documentation tools and site reporting (MS Office, etc.)
  • Fluent German required; English is an advantage
  • Must hold an EU passport or valid German work/residence permit
  • Previous data center experience is preferred, but a background in oil & gas or pharmaceutical plant construction will also be considered

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
