Freelance Project Manager - Gigafactory (Germany)
Location: Germany (on-site, with some flexibility)
Contract: Freelance / Interim (12-24 months, possible extension)
Languages: Fluent German (native or C1/C2) + strong English

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee delivery of a large-scale Gigafactory project in Germany. This role will manage complex engineering, procurement, and construction activities, ensuring the project is delivered on time, on budget, and to strict quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day project management of design, engineering, and construction packages.
- Coordinate stakeholders: client, EPCM, contractors, and suppliers.
- Oversee budget, cost control, and scheduling, ensuring milestones are met.
- Manage risk, change, and claims throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive HSE compliance and quality standards across all workstreams.
- Prepare and deliver progress reports to senior management and investors.
- Ensure effective communication in German and English with all stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven Project Manager experience on large industrial projects (energy, automotive, chemical, semiconductor, or Gigafactory preferred).
- Strong background in EPCM / construction management environments.
- Freelance / independent contractor, with ability to work in Germany.
- Fluent German (written & spoken); strong English.
- Excellent knowledge of contracts (FIDIC, VOB/B or similar) and change management.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and reporting skills.
- Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or similar.
