QA/QC Construction Engineer

We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Construction Engineer to join a major oil & gas project in Frankfurt. The role will focus on ensuring compliance with European standards and client specifications across piping, welding, and mechanical construction activities.

This is a hybrid position, with a mix of onsite inspections and remote documentation/reporting work, offering both flexibility and a hands-on presence at critical project stages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate QA/QC activities across construction, piping, welding, and mechanical installations.
  • Review and implement Quality Control Plans (QCPs), ITPs, and inspection procedures.
  • Ensure conformity with European standards (EN, ISO, DIN) and client specifications.
  • Conduct and supervise inspections (welding, piping, and equipment).
  • Review and validate material certificates, WPS/PQRs, and NDT procedures.
  • Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and drive corrective actions to closure.
  • Provide regular QA/QC reports and updates to project management and client representatives.
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure quality compliance.
  • Support mechanical completion, commissioning, and handover activities.

Candidate Requirements

  • 10+ years' QA/QC experience in oil & gas or petrochemical construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of European codes and standards (EN, ISO, DIN) - prior EU project experience preferred.
  • Expertise in welding and piping inspections; NDT knowledge beneficial.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills.
  • Fluent English required; German preferred.
  • Ability to manage subcontractors and client interactions in an international environment.
