Instrumentation and Control Engineer
One of our biggest clients are looking to bring on at least 2 instrumentation and control engineers to work on one of their latest facilities in Saxony, Germany.
They support some of the biggest end users and EPC contractors across the oil & gas and renewable sectors with complex engineering solutions for industrial applications, as well as energy transition. They operate across the Oil & Gas, Renewable and Hydrogen sectors on an international scale.
Any experience with hydrogen projects is particularly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support projects by designing and implementing instrumentation and control (I&C) systems for reciprocating compressors and electrolyzers
- Carefully specify the sensors, transmitters, valves, and other field instrumentation based on the stage of the project and the requirements
- Interface with Control Systems: Ensure the correct integration of instrumentation with DCS/PLS systems used that are used in oil & gas and renewable energy applications
- Assist with commissioning of key equipment on-site when required, delegating other other engineers when necessary
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all key designs adhere to IEC, ATEX, SIL, and other industry standards for safety and reliability
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Instrumentation, or a related field
- Several years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering, preferably in the oil & gas or renewable energy sector
- Strong proficiency in EPLAN, AutoCAD, or similar design tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of instrumentation & sensors
- Fluent English, German is a bonus but not essential
- Experience with DCS/PLC systems
- Experience with Modbus, Profibus, HART or similar protocols
- Willingness to work with cross-functional teams with strong analytical mindset
