About the Role
A client is currently on the lookout for an experienced Industrial Software Engineer with a strong background in Structured Text programming, Git-based version control, and end-of-line automation systems.
The role involves hands-on design, development, and commissioning of industrial automation solutions, including the integration of machine learning applications into production environments.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop robust, scalable automation software, and play a key role in both on-site commissioning and remote support.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop industrial automation software using Structured Text (IEC 61131-3 standard).
- Implement and manage Git-based version control workflows for PLC and automation software projects.
- Take part in programming, configuration, and debugging of industrial control systems.
- Lead or support commissioning and installation of automation software on client sites.
- Conduct software testing, validation, and documentation according to industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Automation or Software Engineering, or related fields.
- 5-7 years of experience in industrial software development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Structured Text (ST) programming for PLCs (Siemens, Beckhoff, B&R, Codesys, etc.).
- Proficient in Git for source control and collaborative development.
- Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
- Exposure to machine learning applications in a production or manufacturing context
