Robotics Programming Engineer

Our Client is seeking a Roboticsย Engineerย withย ABBย OR Kukaย programming experienceย to support the setup and start-up ofย automated coil handling and packaging systemsย in the wire and metal processing industry.

Location:ย Germany

Duration:ย 4-5 months contractย ( highย potential for extension)

Start Date:ย January

Sector:ย Industrial Automation / Wire & Cable Manufacturing

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Program and commissionย ABBย robotsย forย coil handling and palletizing.

Integrate robots withย PLCs, conveyors, and safety systems.

Performย FAT/SAT testing, calibration, and optimization.

Support on-siteย installation, troubleshooting, and training.

 

 

Required Skills & Experience:

 

Hands-on experience inย ABB robot programming and commissioning.

Knowledge ofย PLC systemsย (Siemens or Beckhoff) and fieldbus communication.

Understanding ofย robot safety and system integration.

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
