Electrical Commissioning Engineer – Nordics

We are looking for an Electrical Commissioning Engineer for a Turbine/Generator project covering Multiple Nordic sites.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute and manage the commissioning of electrical systems associated with turbine and generator units (gas, steam or combined-cycle) including switchgear, transformers, motors, control systems, protection & instrumentation.
  • Review and verify design documentation (single line diagrams, control schematics, protection schemes) and ensure installations comply with project specifications and Swedish/EU standards.
  • Develop and maintain commissioning test plans, checklists and procedures; schedule and lead testing, energisation, load testing, functional verification and handover activities.
  • Conduct fault-finding, troubleshooting and non-conformance management during commissioning phases, driving rapid closure of issues.
  • Interface with mechanical, controls, instrumentation and services teams to ensure integrated system performance and readiness.
  • Produce commissioning reports, record test results, red-line drawings and documentation required for client sign-off and handover.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with H&S regulations, quality procedures and project standards.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5+ yearsโ€™ experience in electrical commissioning roles within power generation or heavy industrial projects (preferably turbines/generators).
  • Strong understanding of power systems: LV/MV/HV, transformers, switchgear, motors, generators, protection & control systems.
  • Proven track record in commissioning of turbine/generator units or similar rotating machinery.
  • Familiarity with Swedish/EU electrical regulations and standards; experience working in Sweden is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel on-site in Sweden (and possibly abroad), and to work flexible hours when required.
