Hardware Test Engineer

We are looking for a Hardware Test Engineer to be responsible for testing printed circuit boards (PCBs) to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards. This role involves designing and executing test procedures, using specialized equipment, troubleshooting issues, and conducting a deep analysis of test results. The engineer will work on electrical drives to identify faults, implement corrective actions, and collaborate with design and development teams to ensure product functionality and reliability.

Location: Uusimaa, Finland

Work Model: 80% on-site

Contract Length: 6 or 12-months

Core Responsibilities

  • Design and develop test plans, processes, and equipment for evaluating hardware performance, reliability, and compatibility.
  • Conduct detailed testing and diagnostics on PCBs to identify and resolve issues.
  • Create and maintain accurate records of test results, failure analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Work closely with design engineers to resolve technical problems and improve PCB performance.

 

Key Requirements

  • Education & Experience:
  • Well educated in power electronics.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in power electronics testing with deep analysis.
  • R&D lab testing background.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of power supply topology.
  • Hands-on experience in R&D lab work and R&D-type testing with power electronics.
  • Familiarity with PCP-AS (Printed Circuit Panel Automated System) or similar automated PCB testing systems.
  • Deep understanding of passive components and techniques for specifying and analyzing tests, building plans, setting up, and interpreting results.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills for supporting and collaborating with design teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Fluent in English.
