Instrumentation and Control Engineer – (Remote)

Role - Instrumentation & Controls Engineer

Working Style - Remote based, with visits to project sites when required, which can increase depending on the phase of the project.

Location - Sites across Germany and Poland

Project Duration - 9-12 Months

Contract Type - Freelance/Self Employed

G2 have partnered with an EPC/Turnkey Solutions business that are looking to hire an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer for a project to begin immediately.

They are a company that provide services to the biogas, waste treatment and renewable energy industry.

Your role will be to support with the design, commissioning and customer start up for the project across all parts of instrumentation and controls.

Day to day responsibilities may include:

  • Design and specification of I&C systems for biogas plants (e.g., digesters, CHP units, gas upgrading systems).
  • PLC programming and SCADA integration.
  • Support commissioning and troubleshooting on-site with the customer.

Requirements you must meet to be considered:

  • Must be a registered Freelancer or have your own company to work in the EU.
  • 5+ year's experience across Electrical Engineering and Automation projects, ideally within the same industry such as Gas, Waste Water or Renewables.
  • Strong Automation and PLC experience, Siemens PLC experience needed.
  • Languages, must speak Fluent German and English.
  • Be willing to travel across sites in both Germany and Poland.

These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
