About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Turnaround (TAR) Scheduler / Planner to join a major EPC oil & gas site project in Vlissingen. The role focuses on the planning, coordination, and scheduling of all turnaround, shutdown, and maintenance activities across multiple disciplines (mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and civil).
You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing the integrated TAR schedule in line with project milestones, ensuring alignment between construction, procurement, and commissioning teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the integrated TAR schedule (from pre-work through execution to start-up) in Primavera P6.
- Create detailed work packs, logic sequences, and critical path analyses for all turnaround activities.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams to align dependencies and constraints.
- Track progress and deviations, analyse delays, and propose mitigation measures to keep the TAR on schedule.
- Support preparation of Level 1-4 schedules, resourcing plans, and “what-if” scenarios.
- Facilitate regular schedule review meetings, progress updates and forecasting
- Planning data alignment with project KPIs, milestones, and client reporting standards.
- Provide input to risk management processes, identifying and quantifying schedule-related risks.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- HBO / Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering
- 5+ years of experience as a Planner / Scheduler in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Refinery environments.
- Experience with EPC project phases (engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning).
- Familiar with work permit systems, field execution, and shutdown procedures.
- Understanding of project controls integration – cost, risk, change, and reporting.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Fluent Dutch proficiency
- Safety-conscious, structured, and proactive in a fast-paced industrial setting.
