Mechanical Supervisor · On-Site

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to lead all phases of planning, construction and installation on a large-scale Biogas plant Project. You will represent the client and coordinate with project stakeholders to manage subcontractors, ensure strict compliance with GMP, safety, and regulatory standards, and proactively resolve technical, contractual, and scheduling challenges throughout the construction and commissioning lifecycle.

 

Contract:

  • Location: One of various sites across Germany
  • Working arrangement: Freelance, On-site
  • Contract: 12+ months
  • Rate: Negotiable (based on experience)
  • Mobilisation: February start date

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Construction site coordination & construction supervision: Organization and management of all activities on our construction sites as well as control of compliance with technical documentation, contracts and assembly plans
  • Assembly: You help set up the systems without losing track of things
  • Safety Management (HSE): Responsibility for the implementation and compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations.
  • Team leadership: Guidance and motivation of internal teams and subcontractors for successful implementation.
  • Contact person on site: Representation of the client towards customers, authorities and service providers on the construction site.

 

Requirements:

  • Completed technical training, e.g. as an industrial mechanic, metal worker, agricultural and construction machinery mechanic or in a comparable field
  • Professional experience on national and ideally international construction sites for biogas or comparable industrial plants.
  • Experience in health, safety and environmental management (HSE).
  • Knowledge and experience in welding and in dealing with welding processes.
  • Good knowledge of English and ideally German as well, both written and spoken.
  • Hands-on problem solver with leadership skills
  • Willingness to relocate to work on-site in Germany
