Electromechanical Engineer · Energy Storage Sector · On-Site

A leading organisation in the energy storage industry is seeking an experienced Electromechanical Engineer to join its engineering team in Flanders.

This position offers the opportunity to work on innovative Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects, combining both electrical and mechanical engineering responsibilities in a dynamic and technically advanced environment.

 

Role Overview

You will play a key role in the engineering, design, and integration of electromechanical systems within large-scale industrial BESS installations.

The position requires strong industrial electrical expertise alongside the ability to support mechanical design, system optimisation, and multidisciplinary integration.

 

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Engineering:

Design, analyse, and validate industrial electrical systems, including power distribution and system integration.

Develop and interpret electrical schematics, control logic, and software interface documentation.

Create and optimise wiring diagrams and electrical drawings using E-Plan or similar tools.

Ensure safe engineering practices for systems operating up to 400V.

Mechanical Engineering:

Design and develop mechanical components such as enclosures, brackets, frames, and cabinets.

Produce and review mechanical drawings and support basic calculations and design modifications.

Contribute to system-level electromechanical integration in line with industry standards and internal guidelines.

Requirements

Proven industrial electrical engineering experience (essential).

Strong understanding of electromechanical systems integration.

Ability to work independently and manage engineering deliverables efficiently.

Fluency in English; Dutch is an advantage.

Hybrid working arrangement available.

Start date: January (contract to be signed before Christmas).
