Land Acquisition Specialist · Hybrid

(Senior) Land Acquisition Manager | Renewable Energy | Hamburg/ Munich (Hybrid) | Permanent

I am currently partnering with a fast-growing renewable energy developer that is pioneering large-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across Europe. They are seeking an experienced Land Acquisition Manager to join their team and play a key role in securing strategic sites for BESS and renewable energy projects in Germany.

This position is critical to project success and high visibility within the business. as well as the opportunity to directly contribute to projects that accelerate the energy transition and deliver measurable environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate suitable locations for BESS and renewable energy projects in designated regions.
  • Acquire and secure land for cable routing and grid connection infrastructure.
  • Manage the full acquisition process - from initial contact with landowners to contract negotiations and planning support.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, municipalities, and local stakeholders.
  • Represent the company externally to landowners (agricultural and industrial) and communities.
  • Ensure seamless handover of secured sites to project development teams.

Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience in land acquisition for renewable energy or comparable infrastructure projects in Germany.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to gain trust with external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of contract law and experience drafting/negotiating agreements.
  • Fluent in German; good English skills are a strong plus.
  • Proactive, goal-oriented, and independent working style.
  • High willingness to travel regularly across Germany.

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
