Project Manager · Hybrid

We are currently looking for a Freelance Project Manager – New Product Introduction (NPI) to fill a long-term contract role for a semiconductor company based in Hengelo, Netherlands.

The client has a requirement for an experienced Project Manager to support the design, assembly process definition, manufacturing, and delivery of new products to customers. This role will be focused on managing NPI activities within a regulated, high-tech manufacturing environment.

 

Freelance Project Manager (NPI) Specification:

  • START: February 2026
  • LOCATION: Hengelo, Netherlands
  • DURATION: 12+ Month Contract
  • ONSITE: 3–4 days per week

 

Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Background in semiconductor, electronics, or high-tech manufacturing
  • Experience managing projects from product design through assembly, manufacturing, and customer delivery
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and industrialization
  • Experience working within ISO 9001 quality management systems
  • Ability to manage cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong stakeholder management, planning, and delivery skills

 

Beneficial Skills:

  • PRINCE2 certification or working knowledge
  • Experience working in regulated or quality-driven environments
  • Familiarity with supplier and subcontractor coordination

 

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for successful delivery of NPI projects
  • Manage project scope, planning, milestones, and budgets
  • Coordinate design, process engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain activities
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and internal quality standards
  • Risk management and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle
  • Act as the main interface between internal teams and customers
  • Support transition from development to serial production

These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
