Freelance Grid Connection Manager · On-Site

We are currently working alongside a client of mine in Germany who are looking to recruit a Grid Connection Manager for utility scale solar projects on a freelance basis. Please below a brief summary off the work below:

 

Grid Connection Manager

Contract length: 6-month initial contract

Hours: 5 days per week

Working Pattern (Flexible Hours/Remote): Hybrid working (predominantly remote), with occasional travel across the country, as well as monthly visits to HQ in Munich (negotiable but preferred)

Job Details:

You will act as my client's primary technical representative for utility companies, TSOs and DNOs, work with third party technical advisors and conduct technical due diligence and risk assessments. This is not an exhaustive list and complete responsibilities will be detailed on successful progression to interview phase.

 

Requirements:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in grid compliance for utility-scale renewable energy projects
  • Good understanding of grid codes, security and certification
  • German and English fluency is required

 

Successful applicants will require two references and must be able to work as a freelancer in Germany.

Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
