QHSE Manager – Data Centre Project

Contract: 10 Months

Location: Stockholm, Sweden | Site-based

Rate: TBD

 

We’re supporting a major global real estate & project management organisation on a flagship data centre construction project in Stockholm and are looking for an experienced QHSE Manager to take full ownership of Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental performance on site.

This is a hands-on, visible role suited to someone comfortable operating in fast-paced, multi-contractor, mission-critical environments.

 

The Role

  • Lead QHSE strategy and delivery across the full construction lifecycle
  • Act as the senior QHSE presence on site, partnering closely with project & construction management
  • Drive a strong safety-first culture across all contractors and trades
  • Ensure full compliance with Swedish HSE legislation and client standards

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage the QHSE Management System (ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 aligned)
  • Review and approve RAMS, permits to work, lift plans, and construction phase plans
  • Conduct site audits, inspections, and leadership safety walks
  • Lead incident investigations, close-out actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Oversee quality assurance processes, ITPs, and handover documentation
  • Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and targeted QHSE training
  • Produce clear QHSE reporting, KPIs, and dashboards for senior stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a QHSE / HSE Manager on large construction projects
  • Data centre, mission-critical, life sciences, or large commercial builds experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Swedish construction HSE regulations
  • Confident managing multiple contractors and challenging unsafe practices
  • Comfortable working in an international, client-facing environment

Qualifications

  • NEBOSH Diploma / NVQ Level 6 (or equivalent)
  • ISO management system knowledge (auditor certs a plus)
  • Degree or technical background desirable, not essential

Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
