Our Industrial Gas Client is currently looking for a Permitting Coordinator to represent the client on a large-scale chemical manufacturing project in Rotterdam.
Contract:
- Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands
- Working arrangement: Freelance
- Contract duration: 6+ months
- Rate: Negotiable (based on experience)
- Mobilisation: February
- On site, 5 days a week
Job Title: Permitting Coordinator
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Permitting Coordinator to support and manage all permitting, approvals, and regulatory processes for a large-scale Industrial Gas manufacturing project. You will act on behalf of the client, coordinating with authorities, consultants, and internal project teams to ensure all permits are obtained, maintained, and complied with in line with project schedules and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and track all required permits, approvals, and authorisations for the project.
- Act as the main point of contact between the client, regulatory authorities, and external consultants.
- Support preparation, submission, and follow-up of permit applications and related documentation.
- Monitor permitting timelines and proactively identify risks or delays.
- Ensure project activities comply with permit conditions and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate permitting registers, documentation, and reporting.
- Support stakeholder meetings, authority consultations, and project reviews.
- Coordinate permit updates or amendments in response to project changes.
Requirements:
- Relevant degree or background in engineering, environmental studies, or a related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in permitting, regulatory coordination, or approvals on industrial, chemical, energy, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of permitting and regulatory processes in the Netherlands.
- Experience coordinating with authorities, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong organisational, communication, and documentation skills.
- Fluent in English and Dutch.
- Willing to be on site in Rotterdam, Netherlands 5 days a week.
