Large-Scale Hyperscale Data Centre Project (Confidential)
Project Overview
We are supporting a major hyperscale data centre development in Europe, comprising multiple buildings delivered through a phased, long-term construction programme. We are seeking experienced Freelance Electrical Engineers to support the design, construction, and commissioning phases on a confidential basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Support delivery of electrical distribution systems for hyperscale or mission-critical facilities
- Work on medium- and high-voltage infrastructure, including substations and utility connections
- Support backup power systems (UPS, generators, redundancy)
- Coordinate with MEP teams, contractors, and stakeholders
- Review drawings, specifications, and installation methodologies
- Provide engineering support through construction, testing, commissioning, and handover
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and best practices
Requirements
- Qualification in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Proven experience on large-scale data centre or mission-critical projects
- Strong knowledge of HV/LV systems, power resilience, and redundancy
- Experience in complex construction environments
- Ability to operate independently in a freelance / contract role
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
Desirable
- Experience on hyperscale or colocation data centres
- Exposure to phased delivery programmes
- Experience on European projects
- Knowledge of energy efficiency and power optimisation
