Interim Senior Revenue Accountant · Potential Outside IR35 · Hybrid Remote

A local government client of g2 in the North West of England are currently on the lookout for an Interim Senior Revenue Accountant to join there team as they have a member of staff soon retiring.

Contract Duration: 6 months + Location: North West England Rate: £400-£500 per day. DOE. IR35: TBC (Potential for outside IR35). Hybrid: The preference is X2-3 days in office per week. For a very experienced candidate could consider X1 day in office per week. Days: 5 days per week is the preference (could also consider 4 days per week). Start Date: ASAP

You will be expected to:

  • Oversee and be highly involved in SOA completion – mainly key statements and revenue notes.
  • Involved in collating budget monitoring reports quarterly. You  will likely pickup Q4 25/26 and Q1 26/27.
  • There may also be some involvement in collection funds.
  • Line manage X2 members of staff (X1 directly).

Successful candidates:

  • Will have experience of closing down local authority accounts from the revenue side. This can be leading or contributing.
  • Will have experience of key statements as well as notes to the accounts.
  • Non essential but desirable would be collection fund experience.
  • You do not necessarily need to be a fully qualified accountant. Whilst it would be beneficial the client is happy to consider candidates who are also part qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Will be willing to attend the office anywhere from 1-3 days per week.

These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
