Site Manager | Hyperscale Data Centre Project | Norway

We’re supporting a major hyperscale data centre development in Norway, delivering mission‑critical infrastructure to meet the rapidly growing demand for cloud and AI services.

This role focuses on leading on‑site delivery across construction, MEP integration and coordination, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality execution throughout all project phases.

 

Location: Norway (site‑based)

Contract: Freelance, long‑term programme (extensions highly likely)

Start Date: Immediate

Languages: English required; Scandinavian languages preferred but not essential

 

Project Overview

Scope: Civil works, structural packages, MEP installation, commissioning, and integration of critical systems (power, cooling, ICT).

Environment: Fast‑paced, technically complex hyperscale data‑centre build involving multi‑discipline coordination.

Programme: Multi‑phase development with long‑term continuity.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on‑site delivery across construction, MEP coordination, and daily site operations
  • Manage subcontractors, drive progress, and oversee logistics, scheduling, and execution
  • Ensure strict compliance with health & safety procedures and project quality standards
  • Coordinate with construction, project management, and engineering teams
  • Oversee installation of key infrastructure systems (electrical, mechanical, cooling)
  • Report progress, risks, and milestones to senior project leadership

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on large-scale construction or mission‑critical projects (data centres, industrial, infrastructure preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, site logistics, structural works, and construction sequencing
  • Experience within EPC or general contractor environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Ability to work in demanding, high‑precision environments with strict safety and quality controls
  • Fluent in English (Scandinavian languages are a plus)

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
