Service Technician | Structural Inspection | Wind Turbine Operations | International
We are currently supporting a leading international wind energy engineering provider in expanding their technical workforce for upcoming projects globally. With a strong project pipeline and over €300k in confirmed external offers, we are now seeking experienced Service Technicians with switching permission for wind turbines to join the team.
This role is ideal for independent, technically strong professionals who enjoy field-based work, problem-solving, and working across international environments.
As a Service Technician, you will work as part of a specialist inspection and commissioning team, supporting turbine operations, safety assessments, reporting, and troubleshooting activities. You will collaborate closely with the company’s inspection manager while maintaining the independence required to sign off technical reports.
Responsibilities:
- Perform service, troubleshooting, commissioning, and safety testing on wind turbines
- Work with switching permissions in accordance with industry standards
- Execute tasks involving working at heights, confined spaces, and rope access (2-person teams)
- Complete technical reports and documentation for project sign-off
- Collaborate with inspectors and technical teams across Europe
- Ensure compliance with GWO standards and company safety processes
- Travel to project sites internationally (typically 2 weeks on-site)
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years’ practical experience in wind turbine service or similar technical field
- GWO certifications (Working at Heights, Confined Space, etc.)
- Rope access qualification (2-person team operations)
- Strong experience in: Troubleshooting; Commissioning; Safety testing
- Independent working style with high motivation
- German language capabilities: B2 – C2 level
