g2 are currently seeking Freelance Quality Engineers – QAQC Engineers to support a major pipeline project located north of Bremen, Northwest Germany.

This is a site-based role supporting the execution phase of a large-scale infrastructure development. You would be working with the main contractor, delivering the construction, installation and commissioning for a major pipeline project.

 

Position: Freelance Quality Engineer – Site Based

  • Location: Northwest Germany (North of Bremen)
  • Contract Length: 12 Months
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Contract Type: Freelance – Freelance Company or Umbrella payroll in country
  • Immediate start

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write and check ITPs, inspection test plans
  • Check on project quality documentation, align with ISO9001 requirements
  • Prepare and review welding procedures, plans and QC checking schedules
  • Oversee and witness welding onsite, manual welding
  • Potential for internal or external auditing, site materials or supply chain
  • Perform site inspections during fabrication and construction onsite
  • Produce inspection reports and non-conformance documentation
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications

 

Required Experience & Skills:

Proven QA/QC experience on infrastructure or industrial projects

  • Mechanical, Welding, Fabrication type background – hands on or degree qualified
  • Site based experience for fabrication or construction projects
  • Ideally working on pipeline, pipe fabrication, piping installation and/or cable protection packages
  • Strong understanding of welding inspection and testing procedures (manual welding)
  • Experience with pressure and/ok leak testing, very applicable
  • Ability to work on-site and interface with contractors and inspectors

 

The client is working as the main contractor, they have a large package of works for both onsite fabrication, and construction and installation for pipeline packages. You will be involved with onsite QC checking, fabrication support, managing of welding teams, checking quality documentation and reporting to the quality manager. You would be working from a site based engineering and construction office.
