g2 are supporting a major renewable energy developer who is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee a large‑scale Solar PV project in Romania.

 

Role Overview

  • Lead on-site construction activities for a large-scale Solar PV project in Romania.
  • Act as the main interface between the EPC contractor, subcontractors, suppliers, and the client’s project team.
  • Ensure the project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Oversee civil, mechanical, and electrical works throughout the full construction lifecycle.
  • Drive day‑to‑day site coordination, problem-solving, and operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise EPC and subcontractor teams on site.
  • Coordinate daily construction activities and ensure adherence to the project schedule.
  • Enforce strict HSE compliance and conduct regular site safety inspections.
  • Monitor quality standards, conduct audits, and ensure all works meet technical specifications.
  • Review and approve method statements, work permits, and construction documentation.
  • Track progress, identify risks or delays, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate site records, reporting, and documentation for the client.
  • Support technical issue resolution between engineering, procurement, and site teams.
  • Oversee installation of PV modules, mounting structures, cabling, inverters, and balance of plant systems.
  • Participate in testing, commissioning, and final handover activities.

Academy:

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
