Role Overview
As a Freelance Mechanical Technician, you ensure the reliability and availability of production and utility equipment at a brownfield industrial site. You work independently within your mechanical discipline while contributing to safe and efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out corrective and preventive mechanical maintenance.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues independently.
- Implement improvements and modifications (MOC).
- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams.
- Maintain technical documentation and support spare‑parts follow‑up.
- Work safely and follow all site procedures.
- Participate in the mechanical on‑call rotation (every 5 weeks).
Profile
- Degree in Mechanics or Electromechanics, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in industrial mechanical maintenance (motivated junior freelancers also welcome).
- Strong mechanical knowledge (pumps, pneumatics, drives, rotating equipment).
- Knowledge of P&IDs or chemical processes is an advantage.
- Responsible, precise, independent, and safety‑focused.
- Computer‑skilled; fluent in Dutch and English.
- Welding experience
