Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to act as a client‑facing representative on a large Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant project in Romania.

The Construction Manager will take full responsibility for on‑site construction execution, interface management, and coordination between the client, EPC contractor, subcontractors, and local stakeholders. This is a hands‑on site role, requiring strong leadership, technical authority, and proven experience on CCGT power plant builds.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary client‑facing Construction Manager on site, representing the Owner’s or Client’s interests at all times
  • Manage and oversee all construction activities across civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation scopes
  • Ensure construction is executed in line with:
  • Approved drawings and specifications
  • Project schedule and milestones
  • Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental (QHSE) standards
  • Lead daily and weekly construction coordination meetings with EPC contractors and subcontractors
  • Monitor construction progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation measures
  • Interface closely with:
  • Engineering teams
  • Commissioning and start‑up teams
  • Procurement and logistics
  • Local authorities and inspectors
  • Review and approve:
  • Method statements
  • Construction schedules
  • Site change requests and variation works
  • Ensure strict compliance with local Romanian regulations, site rules, and international power plant standards
  • Support the transition from construction to commissioning and handover

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Construction Manager on CCGT / CCGS power plants (essential)
  • An electrical background in preferred
