Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Logistics Manager to join a large-scale data centre construction project in Mons, Belgium on a PMC (Project Management Consultant) basis. This is a client-side role, reporting into the PMC Construction Manager, responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction logistics across a technically complex, multi-contractor environment. The successful candidate will act as the primary interface between the logistics contractor, package contractors and the wider PMC team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, approve and monitor comprehensive logistics plans submitted by the logistics contractor, ensuring alignment with the overall project programme
  • Oversee and manage the interface between multiple plot and package contractors, ensuring logistics activities are coordinated across all active construction zones
  • Chair logistics and planning meetings; track and distribute meeting minutes, action logs and updated logistics plans
  • Audit and report on the logistics contractor's self-assessments covering QA, safety, environmental and welfare compliance
  • Assess and process variations and adjustments to the logistics contractor's scope; review cost impacts and report through the project change management process
  • Coordinate site traffic management, contractor laydown areas and site accommodation planning across all plots
  • Interface with the Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) manager to review and approve logistics plans for all client-supplied equipment deliveries and installations
  • Work closely with the VDC/BIM team to review field coordination activities and trade sequencing across packages
  • Review and validate phasing plans, construction sequencing and logistics interrelationships in alignment with the project schedule
  • Produce and issue regular logistics dashboards to the PMC Construction Manager and wider project team
  • Identify, escalate and drive resolution of logistics-related risks and issues, maintaining a live risk register in coordination with the project team

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Construction Logistics Manager role on large-scale construction projects
  • Proven data centre construction experience in a PMC or client-side capacity — essential
  • Experience across multiple ground-up data centre builds strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of hyperscale or mission critical construction environments
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and hold accountable a logistics contractor and multiple subcontractors simultaneously
  • Proficient in reviewing, challenging and approving detailed logistics and phasing plans
  • Experience with construction change management processes and variation assessment
  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline preferred
  • Fluent English — written and spoken — essential
  • Additional European languages advantageous (French, Dutch)
  • EU work authorisation required
