Project Engineer · Freelance

This role is for an experienced Project Engineer to work on a freelance contract for a client within the offshore industry. The role would involve offshore projects preparation, operation support, procedure writing and project execution

The client has a specific requirement for the Project Engineer to work on writing procedures, checking compliance, risk assessments and assisting the Project Manager throughout the full lifecycle.

This is primarily an office based role, the client is based in North holland, close to Haarlem.

START: ASAP – June 2026

LOCATION: North Holland, Near Haarlem

Contract: 2-3 month contract

Specification:

  • 2+ Years’ experience in a project engineer role
  • Offshore projects experience – EPC, EPIC, O&M and IRM are all applicable
  • Project procedure witing or procedure checking experience
  • Project execution experience within the Offshore wind sector
  • Ideally experience with offshore EPC, Service or Developer companies
  • Dutch speaking is beneficial, English is essential

Our Three Pillars of Training

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
