Project Manager · On-Site

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Project Manager to support the delivery of a large-scale brewery project in Liège. The Project Manager will oversee multiple workstreams including utilities, brewing, packaging, and building/construction, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality and safety standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end project delivery across:
  • Utilities (steam, water, compressed air, energy, wastewater)
  • Brewing process areas
  • Packaging lines
  • Building and infrastructure works
  • Coordinate internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and engineering partners
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers
  • Track progress, manage change control, and resolve technical or delivery issues
  • Report regularly to senior stakeholders on milestones, risks, and performance
  • Support commissioning, handover, and ramp-up activities

 

Required Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years’ experience in Industrial Engineering
  • 5+ years’ experience in Project Management within industrial or manufacturing environments
  • Strong experience managing CAPEX projects
  • Proven experience managing multiple stakeholders and contractors
  • Strong planning, communication, and problem-solving skills

 

Education/Background

  • Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or similar)
  • Candidates from an FMCG or industrial manufacturing background are highly preferred.

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
