Freelance Role | Data Centres (Commissioning) | Denmark
G2 Recruitment working with a leading engineering and commissioning specialist delivering large-scale mission-critical data centre projects across the Nordics.
Location: Copenhagen / Greater Denmark
Duration: 6–12 months (with extension potential)
Start Date: Immediate / Flexible
Language: English required (Danish beneficial but not essential)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage electrical commissioning activities (L1–L5) across data centre projects
- Develop and execute commissioning plans, scripts, and procedures
- Oversee testing of MV/LV systems, UPS, generators, switchgear, transformers, ATS/STS
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams
- Lead Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and failure simulations
- Drive QA/QC inspections, documentation, and compliance
- Support energisation and handover processes
- Troubleshoot complex issues within live critical environments
Essential:
- Extensive experience within data centre commissioning (electrical focus)
- Proven track record delivering L2–L5 / full commissioning lifecycle
- Strong technical knowledge of critical power infrastructure (UPS, generators, MV/LV systems)
- Experience leading commissioning on large-scale projects (40MW+)
- Strong stakeholder management across contractors and engineering teams
- Familiarity with IEC standards and commissioning best practices
- AP / SAP or similar authorisation highly desirable
