Quality Engineer / Supervisor – Substation Project
Location: Hamina, Finland
Contract Length: 12 Months

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join a major Substation Project in Hamina, Finland. This is a full-time, site-based role supporting the delivery of a large-scale electrical infrastructure project. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining project quality standards, ensuring compliance with client specifications, industry regulations, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain the Project Quality Management System (QMS).
- Conduct quality inspections and audits across civil, mechanical, and electrical works.
- Review and verify Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality documentation.
- Monitor subcontractor and supplier quality performance.
- Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and quality improvements.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and client requirements.
- Support quality reviews, site inspections, and commissioning activities.
- Maintain accurate quality records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Liaise with project management, construction teams, subcontractors, and client representatives.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Construction, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience as a Quality Engineer on Substation, Power Transmission, Data Centre, or large industrial projects.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance and quality control processes.
- Experience with inspection procedures, audits, and document control.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English required; Finnish language skills are advantageous.
