Construction Manager · On-Site

Freelance Construction Manager | Data Centre Projects | Berlin

G2 Recruitment is working with a leading international contractor delivering a major data centre project in Berlin. We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager with a strong background in CSA delivery, contractor management, QA/QC, and multidisciplinary project coordination within highly regulated environments.

 

Location: Berlin (on-site)

Duration: 12+ Months

Start Date: ASAP

Language: English (German is beneficial)

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead construction activities across architectural, civil, structural, utilities, and fit-out packages.
  • Manage subcontractors, consultants, and client stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Coordinate construction sequencing, interfaces, and technical issue resolution.
  • Drive quality, safety, and programme performance across multiple work fronts.
  • Support commissioning, mechanical completion, and operational readiness activities.
  • Monitor project progress and mitigate delivery risks to maintain programme objectives.

Essential:

  • 5+ years of experience in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or QA/QC leadership roles.
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale pharmaceutical, data centre, infrastructure, rail, or nuclear projects.
  • Strong knowledge of CSA construction, QA/QC procedures, and contractor management.
  • Experience working within highly regulated or mission-critical environments.
  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Our Three Pillars of Training

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
