G2 are currently working with an exciting client based in the Amsterdam area, who are looking for a Mechanic/Assembly Engineer with a strong hands-on bias. The client are growing quickly and are in a very busy period currently, so can consider permanent candidates, and can also consider freelance candidates for a 3-6 month period.
The client specialises in equipment manufacturing for the Aviation, Automotive and Defense industries, working on complex manufacturing projects for international clients.
You will be working on mechanical assembly and manufacturing, focusing primarily on hydraulic systems, generators/engines and cooling systems, working from technical drawings, closely with the engineering teams.
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: €3,500 - €4,700 per month + 8%
Package: 27 days annual leave + 13 ADV days, pension, travel allowance
Location: Amsterdam area, Netherlands
Rates (Freelance): Competitive market rates - travel/commuting covered by client
Essential Skills:
- Manufacturing/assembly experience with a mechanical bias
- Able to interpret technical drawings and complete manufacturing processes accordingly
- Experience within equipment manufacturing environments (aviation, aerospace, automotive, defense very beneficial)
- Hands-on bias, enthusiastic about assembling and building engineering packages
- Any experience with generators, engines, cooling systems or hydraulics very beneficial
- English essential, Dutch preferred but not essential
The client is looking for candidates to join the team either on a long-term basis or for short term cover. They have a growing pipeline of work coming in, so the role comes with good progression and development opportunity.
