Senior Electrical Engineer - Data Center Developer, Client-side - Austria, Vienna - Competitive Salary & Benefits Package
Every online interaction depends on reliable data centre infrastructure. In this role, you’ll join a skilled engineering team responsible for maintaining secure, efficient, and high-performing critical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the reliable and efficient operation of technical infrastructure, with a focus on electrical systems (e.g. UPS, switchgear, backup generators)
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise maintenance, inspection, and repair activities in collaboration with external contractors
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, reports, and operational procedures
- Conduct fault diagnosis, implement long-term solutions, and perform root cause analysis
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards (e.g. operating procedures, permit systems)
- Provide technical support to internal teams in relation to customer queries
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar environment (e.g. industrial sites, utilities, data centres, or building services)
- Formal qualification in electrical engineering (technical college, university degree, or equivalent)
- Proven experience managing external vendors and coordinating maintenance activities
- Additional knowledge in areas such as HVAC, mechanical systems, or fluid systems is beneficial
- Strong communication skills in English and German (B2)
- Highly organised, proactive, and solution-oriented approach with strong ownership
