The Project
g2 Recruitment is supporting a leading contractor delivering a major hyperscale data centre project in Hamina, Finland. This is a flagship, long-running campus development on an English-speaking international site, offering stable pipeline and the opportunity to work on one of the most significant mission-critical builds in the Nordics.
The Role
We are seeking an S1-certified Electrical Engineer to support LV and MV installation works and HV/LV testing across the project. You will play a key role in the safe delivery, verification and handover of critical electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Support and oversee LV and MV installation works in line with SFS 6000/6001 and project specifications
- Carry out and document HV and LV testing, inspection and energisation activities
- Ensure electrical works are delivered safely and in compliance with Finnish electrical safety requirements
- Review and sign off test documentation and support QA/QC processes through to handover
- Coordinate with installation teams, commissioning and client representatives on site
Requirements
- Valid Finnish Electrical Qualification 1 (S1 / Sähköpätevyys 1) — essential
- Proven experience in LV/MV installation and HV/LV testing on large-scale industrial, energy or mission-critical projects
- Valid SFS 6002 electrical safety training (or willingness to complete prior to start)
- Fluent working English — site language is English
- Available to start within two weeks
Desirable
- QA/QC or testing & commissioning background (test sheets, ITPs, punch listing, documentation control)
- Previous data centre or mission-critical project experience
- Experience acting as supervisor of electrical works (sähkötöiden johtaja)
