Freelance Senior Façade Project Manager

 

Location: Munich, Germany

Duration: 24-Month Contract

Rate: €700-€900 per day (DOE)

Start: Immediate / Negotiable

 

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Senior Façade Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major façade package on a high-profile project in Munich.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the project from design coordination through fabrication, installation, and final handover, managing all commercial, technical, and operational aspects of delivery.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Full lifecycle management of a large-scale façade package
  • Client, consultant, and stakeholder management
  • Programmer, cost, and risk management
  • Coordination of design, BIM, manufacturing, and site installation teams
  • Contract administration and change control
  • Progress reporting to senior project leadership
  • Driving health & safety, quality, and project performance

 

Candidate Profile

 

We are looking for professionals with:

  • Extensive façade and building envelope experience
  • Proven delivery of projects exceeding €30m+
  • Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
  • Experience leading international project teams
  • BIM and design coordination expertise
  • Ability to manage complex stakeholder environments
  • Fluent English; German advantageous

Ideal Experience

Candidates with backgrounds similar to those who have:

  • Managed major façade packages valued at €50m+
  • Delivered transport, infrastructure, commercial, or mixed-use developments
  • Led multidisciplinary teams across design, procurement, fabrication, and installation
  • Worked for specialist façade contractors and international construction businesses

These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
