Freelance Lead Project Manager - Data Center Division
We are currently assisting a client within the data center space who are looking to bring in a self-employed Lead Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of complex data center projects. Acting as the primary point of contact for the customer, internal teams, and site operations, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
This is a senior role requiring both strategic oversight and hands-on project leadership. You will help strengthen project delivery, build trusted client relationships, and contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects from planning through to completion.
- Coordinate internal teams, contractors, and client stakeholders.
- Manage schedules, budgets, quality, risks, and project documentation.
- Maintain regular site involvement during key delivery phases.
- Support both installation and maintenance-related projects.
- Ensure contractual commitments and project milestones are achieved.
- Drive improvements to project management methods and best practices.
Experience Required
- Data center management experience is considered a strong advantage
- Strong technical background in electrical engineering, HVAC, BMS, switchboard manufacturing, or industrial installations
- 10–15 years of experience in complex technical project environments
- Knowledge of contract law and experience reviewing technical contracts.
- English Language, Dutch highly preferable
