Freelance HSE Lead / Site Lead / Senior Site Manager | Data Centre Project | Denmark

Contract Type: Freelance / Contract

Project Duration: 19-20 Months

Start Date: October 2026

Rotation: 3/1 or 6/2 rotation available (depending on candidate location)

We are supporting a major Data Centre construction project in Denmark and are seeking experienced HSE Leads, Site Leads, and Senior Site Managers to join the project from October.

The project is currently in the tendering phase, offering an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term engagement on a large-scale infrastructure programme. The client has extensive experience working with freelance professionals and is open to both local and international candidates.

  • Site Lead x1
  • Senior Site Manager x1

Key Responsibilities

HSE Lead

  • Lead all health, safety and environmental activities across the project site
  • Ensure compliance with local legislation, client standards, and company procedures
  • Conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations
  • Promote a strong safety culture across all contractors and stakeholders

Site Lead / Senior Site Manager

  • Oversee day-to-day site operations and construction activities
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams
  • Ensure delivery against programme milestones, quality standards, and budget requirements
  • Manage site logistics, workforce planning, and stakeholder communications
  • Drive project performance whilst maintaining the highest safety standards

Required Experience

Candidates should have a proven background within one or more of the following sectors:

  • Data Centre Construction
  • Large-Scale Construction Projects
  • Logistics Facilities
  • Power Generation & Distribution
  • Electrical Installation Projects
  • Industrial Infrastructure Projects

Essential Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in a senior site leadership or HSE role
  • Strong understanding of construction site management and project delivery
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to work on rotational assignments in Denmark

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.

His role involves teaching the consultants that are new to the company the foundations of recruitment and our systems before then helping them to upskill in areas specific to each consultant.
