Project Manager · On-Site

Role Overview:

The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful end-to-end delivery of large-scale construction and infrastructure projects, leading all phases from planning and design through execution, closeout, and handover. The role will provide strategic leadership across project teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience managing major construction projects, strong technical and commercial acumen, and a proven record of delivering complex projects in challenging environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overall delivery of large-scale construction and infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
  • Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, design, preconstruction, execution, commissioning, closeout, and handover.
  • Develop and oversee project execution plans, schedules, budgets, resources, and risk management strategies.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Drive project performance against key safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
  • Provide leadership during preconstruction activities, including site development, technical reviews, constructability assessments, procurement strategies, and project planning.
  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks, delays, and cost overruns.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, environmental, and health & safety requirements.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement and maintain effective communication with clients, senior management, and external parties.
  • Foster a culture of safety excellence, quality assurance, and continuous improvement across the project team.
  • Manage project reporting, governance, and performance reviews throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support commissioning, operational readiness, and successful project handover.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of construction and project management experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of direct experience delivering large-scale construction and/or infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience in a Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Senior Construction Manager, Project Director, Project Lead, or equivalent leadership role.
  • Strong experience managing preconstruction activities, including project planning, design management, site development, cost management, scheduling, and procurement.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering projects within the region or within comparable international markets.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects through planning, design, execution, closeout, and handover.
  • Strong understanding of project controls, construction methodologies, contract management, and risk management.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and multiple stakeholders in large, complex project environments.

These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
