HSE Supervisor · On-Site
We are seeking an experienced HSE Supervisor to support and oversee Health, Safety, and Environmental activities on-site in Seinäjoki, Finland. The successful candidate will work closely with the HSE Manager, site management, contractors, and subcontractors to maintain high safety standards and ensure compliance with Finnish regulations, company standards, and client requirements.

Start Date: ASAP
Contract: 12 Months
Rotation: 10 Weeks On / 4 Weeks Off
Working Hours: 37.5 Hours Per Week

Key Responsibilities
Support the implementation of HSE policies, procedures, and site safety plans.
Conduct daily site inspections, safety walks, audits, and risk assessments.
Monitor compliance with Finnish HSE legislation, company standards, and client requirements.
Identify hazards and ensure appropriate corrective and preventative actions are implemented.
Assist with incident, near-miss, and accident investigations.
Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
Monitor contractor and subcontractor HSE performance.
Promote safe working practices and a strong safety culture across the site.
Maintain HSE records, reports, inspection documentation, and compliance records.
Support emergency preparedness activities, drills, and response procedures.
Assist the HSE Manager with reporting, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Stop unsafe work where necessary and escalate significant HSE concerns to site management.
Requirements
HSE qualification, NEBOSH Certificate, IOSH, or equivalent HSE qualification.
Minimum 3–5 years' HSE experience in construction, industrial, infrastructure, energy, or data centre projects.
Good knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
Strong understanding of risk assessments, method statements, permits, inspections, and site safety procedures.
Previous experience supervising contractors and subcontractors.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluent English required; Finnish language skills are advantageous but not required.
Right to work in Finland / the EU.
