About the Role
We are looking for an experienced AI Engineer with a strong foundation in Python, machine learning, with text processing experience in business communication to help build and scale real-world AI solutions in the pharmaceutical space. This role requires more than just theoretical knowledge - we need professionals who have successfully delivered AI/ML projects into production and understand the full lifecycle, including considerations like data stability, legal constraints, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy NLP and ML models to solve complex business problems in the pharmaceutical domain.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business analysts, product managers, and domain experts to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Work with large-scale text datasets from clinical, regulatory, and operational sources.
- Ensure scalability, robustness, and compliance of deployed models.
- Contribute to architecture decisions and guide best practices for AI in production environments.
Required Skills & Experience
- Needs to have real life experience within taking projects from R&D stage through to production
- Strong proficiency in Python, especially for machine learning and NLP.
- Proven track record of delivering AI/ML projects to production.
- Deep understanding of text data processing, including unstructured data and domain-specific documents.
- Solid grasp of the ML model lifecycle, including data governance, versioning, validation, and post-deployment monitoring.
- Strong business communication skills - able to interface with cross-functional teams and act with a business analyst mindset.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Preferred Qualifications
- Background or exposure to the pharmaceutical industry (R&D, clinical data, regulatory submissions, etc.).
- Experience handling sensitive or regulated data (e.g., patient records, compliance-critical datasets).
- Knowledge of pharma-specific challenges like stability data, trial protocols, safety submissions, etc.
