About the Project

Join a cutting-edge biochemical initiative focused on scaling advanced batch processing systems using Emersonโ€™s DeltaV platform. This project is at the forefront of innovation in biochemical production, requiring a seasoned automation professional to optimize, troubleshoot, and enhance batch operations in a high-compliance environment.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, configure, and implement DeltaV batch automation solutions tailored to biochemical processes
  • Collaborate with process engineers and project stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of control systems
  • Develop and maintain S88-compliant batch strategies and recipes
  • Conduct remote diagnostics, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of DeltaV systems
  • Support validation activities including IQ/OQ/PQ documentation and execution
  • Participate in occasional on-site visits for commissioning, FAT/SAT, or critical project milestones

 

Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven expertise in Emerson DeltaV Batch configuration and deployment
  • Strong understanding of ISA-88 batch control standards
  • Experience in biochemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with GMP, GAMP5, and regulatory compliance frameworks
  • Ability to work independently across split shifts and deliver under tight timelines
  • Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration and stakeholder engagement

 

Contract Details
  • Type: Freelance / Independent Contractor
  • Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension)
  • Location: Fully remote with occasional site visits (travel expenses covered)
  • Hours: Split shift coverage (6โ€“9 AM & 5โ€“10 PM BST) to align with global operations

Our Three Pillars of Training

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.

Kane joined g2 in April 2023 as an Academy & Systems Trainer.

His role involves teaching the consultants that are new to the company the foundations of recruitment and our systems before then helping them to upskill in areas specific to each consultant.
