BIM Modeler

Job Title: Medior Modeler - Construction Technology

Location: Hellevoetsluis, Netherlands

Contract: Freelance, hybrid

Length: 12+ Month

About the Role:

We are seeking a Medior Modeler in Construction Technology to strengthen our design and engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing high-quality construction models, ensuring technical precision, and supporting project delivery from concept to completion.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain 3D BIM models (Revit, Tekla, AutoCAD) and produce working drawings.
  • Model objects using building part libraries and add detailed data to objects.
  • Conduct site measurements, take reference photos, and perform research on structures and details.
  • Export models to IFC and DWG formats and generate graphical 2D output (plans, sections, elevations).
  • Participate in construction and coordination meetings.
  • Supervise junior modelers, draftsmen, and interns as required.
  • Ensure compliance with current professional legislation, regulations, and quality systems.
  • Monitor your own project hours and planning to stay on budget.
  • Apply RGD BIM and Dutch Revit standards where required.

Your Profile:

  • HBO-level education in Construction Engineering (HTI, BmS, BV) or equivalent MBO with additional technical training.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a junior modeler or similar role.
  • Proficiency with Revit, Tekla, and AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of construction techniques, building materials, and implementation methods.
  • Affinity with related disciplines (installations, construction costs, sustainability, mechanical and fire engineering aspects).
  • Familiarity with Newforma is an advantage.
  • In possession of a Basic Safety Certificate (VCA) or willingness to obtain it.
  • Strong problem analysis, systematic working skills, and results-oriented mindset.
  • Able to work independently, take initiative, and contribute proactively to shared goals.

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.

Kane joined g2 in April 2023 as an Academy & Systems Trainer.

His role involves teaching the consultants that are new to the company the foundations of recruitment and our systems before then helping them to upskill in areas specific to each consultant. Working closely with different consultants and watching them implement the feedback, apply it, and then benefit off the back of it.
