Business Analyst – Logistics & 3PL
We are currently supporting a Belgian 3PL provider who is growing rapidly and need some support to deliver exciting projects across the business.
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in logistics operations, 3PL, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC), and warehouse scanning solutions to support and optimize our end-to-end supply chain processes. The successful candidate will act as a liaison between logistics teams, IT, and third-party vendors to enhance warehouse operations, ensure effective use of ERP systems, and lead improvements in data capture, process efficiency, and system integration.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Process Mapping
Analysis of current warehouse and logistics workflows.
Identify pain points and opportunities for process automation and improvement.
Map and document “as-is” and “to-be” business processes.
ERP & App Integration
Work closely with ERP team to optimize the use of Business Central, specifically in logistics, warehousing, and inventory modules.
Define integration requirements between BC and warehouse scanner apps/platforms.
Support implementation of new scanning solutions, ensuring data accuracy, traceability, and real-time updates to the ERP.
Project Support
Collaborate with IT, vendors, and end users to support the rollout of warehouse and logistics-related systems.
Coordinate testing, UAT, and training for new systems or enhancements.
Monitor system adoption and support change management efforts.
Data & Reporting
Ensure accurate and timely data capture from scanning devices into Business Central.
Design and support reporting tools/dashboards to track logistics activity and KPIs (e.g., pick/pack/ship accuracy, order turnaround, inventory movements).
Stakeholder Collaboration
Serve as the bridge between warehouse teams, supply chain leadership, and IT.
Lead workshops and training sessions to ensure end-user engagement and understanding of tools.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Business Analyst in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain environments.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, particularly warehousing and logistics functions.
Experience with scanner-based applications (e.g., barcode/RFID scanning platforms used in WMS environments).
Solid understanding of data flows between hardware (scanners), middleware/apps, and ERP systems.
Ability to create functional specifications, workflows, and training documentation.
Experience with system integration and working with third-party vendors.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
