We are currently looking for a Civil Engineer with experience in large civil infrastructure projects to work on government and public utility projects based in The Hague, Netherlands. The client has a requirement for an experienced civil engineer to support and deliver complex infrastructure works across multiple aspects of civil and utilities projects.
The role will suit a Civil Engineer with strong experience in infrastructure, government utilities, and large-scale civil works, who is comfortable working in multidisciplinary environments and managing projects through their full lifecycle.
Civil Engineer – Specification:
- START: 2026
- LOCATION: The Hague (Hybrid working available)
- DURATION: 12-month Freelance Contract
- WORKING HOURS: Full-time
Essential Skills:
- Civil Engineering experience (5+ years).
- Proven experience working on large civil infrastructure projects.
- Background in civil works related to roads, utilities, water, rail, or public infrastructure.
- Experience working with government or public utility clients.
- Ability to support projects from planning and design through to execution and delivery.
- Strong coordination skills across multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
Beneficial Skills:
- Dutch speaking (preferred).
- Experience working within the Dutch infrastructure or public sector environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support and deliver large civil infrastructure projects across various utility and infrastructure scopes.
- Coordinate with designers, contractors, and government stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, planning, and budgets.
- Support risk management and technical decision-making.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within agreed scope.
